PANJIM:  Seven clubs in Ozrant Vagator were heard playing loud music 2am on Sunday morning, October 20, in violation of sound pollution regulations. The music continued until 5 a.m. on Sunday, despite clear orders from the Bombay High Court regarding noise limits and timings. The locals have made every effort to stop the music through legal means by approaching the High Court. However, it appears that the clubs are ready even to face contempt of court.

On the night of October 20, Sunday, several clubs like Atom 69 Club, in front of Soro , new open air club opened in Assagao, Diaz club, Noah club, Raeeth, Romeo lane and Vamos club located at Vagator and Anjuna openly flouted sound pollution regulations by playing loud music late into the night. This blatant disregard for the law comes despite the Bombay High Court's directives that require real-time noise monitoring systems to be in place across Goa.

The court has emphasized that noise levels should be strictly controlled, especially between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., a time meant for peace and rest. However, loud music continued until 5 a.m. on Monday morning, causing significant disturbance to the local neighborhood and raising concerns about the enforcement of these regulations.
