PANJIM: In yet another weather warning, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa issued a warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightening till Sunday.
The low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea, which now lies over the east central Arabian Sea off Goa-South Maharashtra coast and the associated cyclonic circulation extending up o 5.8 km above the sea level is said to be resulting in thundershowers.
As per IMD Goa, the cyclonic circulation is likely to move west-north west wards and become more marked in the next 48 hours.
“Warning of thunderstorms accompanied with lightening continues for North & South Goa for five days. Rain-thundershower activity to continue over districts after November 17 also, with a lesser spatial distribution. A marginal increase is likely around 19th-20th,” it said in a social media post on Wednesday.
After continuous rainfall the entire monsoon season, light and heavy rains are being experienced in Goa till date.
