PANJIM: Preparations are afoot for a unique peaceful protest at the Town and Country Planning Office, at Patto Panjim, on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti on 1st October. NGOs and activists will gather at the office to wash clean, the office and demand the resignation of Chief Town Planner Rajesh Naik, who they alleged has been responsible for selling Goa. They have made an appeal to all right thinking Goans to be present between 3 and 5 pm on October 1, in large numbers to save Goa for posterity.
Activists will gather in large number at the TCP office to demand dismissal of Chief Town Planner Rajesh Naik. They have accused Chief Town Planner of endorsing the conversion of large tracts of land to benefit mega builders from outside Goa. Also on 2nd October a huge property expo is being organized in Delhi to invite more builders from Delhi to finish Goa, they alleged.
