21-Year-Old passenger nabbed with live ammunition at Dabolim airport

CISF Unit at Dabolim Airport in Goa took action against a male passenger, identified as 21-year-old Niket Taori, following an incident involving the detection of a live ammunition round in his possession. The passenger, a resident of Maharashtra, was detected with the ammunition by ST/EXT Deepak Agarwal during duty at the X-BIS Screening machine at AIRS machine No.04 in the Domestic Security Hold Area at Dabolim Airport around 04:30 hrs.

Upon the discovery of the live ammunition in the passenger's wallet, further inspection by CISF personnel confirmed the presence of the round. The passenger, when questioned, admitted to lacking a valid license for such ammunition. The incident occurred as the passenger was about to board a flight from Goa to Mumbai. The Dabolim Airport Police have filed charges under Section 3, read with 25 of the Arms Act,

An investigation into the matter has been initiated by the CISF, with Assistant Sub-Inspector Santosh N Gaonkar designated as the Investigating Officer.
