An anticipated hearing
regarding the land acquisition for the Borim Bridge, initially slated for
Tuesday, was unexpectedly postponed, leaving villagers disheartened and
discontented. Those who had gathered for the hearing voiced their
dissatisfaction and confusion in light of the abrupt delay.
Villagers expressed their
confusion, citing the absence of a comprehensive presentation or adequate
clarification on the proposed plan. They even criticised WRD Minister Subhash
Shirodkar, with allegations of failure to safeguard the villagers' interests in
this matter.
They have demanded a clear and
detailed presentation of the acquisition plan to ensure transparency and
understanding.
The unexpected postponement
without prior notice led to frustration among the villagers who had arrived,
eagerly anticipating clarity on the proposed land acquisition for the proposed
Borim Bridge.
The villagers said that the
lack of information and sudden postponement has left us bewildered. The absence
of a proper presentation or explanation has only added to our confusion. Minister
Shirodkar's inaction in protecting our interests is disappointing.
The villagers emphasized the
necessity for a comprehensive and detailed presentation of the acquisition
plan, highlighting the importance of transparency and ensuring that their
concerns and queries are adequately addressed.
