Colvale Police Cracked Kidnapping Case, Three Arrested

Colvale Police made a significant breakthrough in a kidnapping case, apprehending three individuals in Sawantwadi, Maharashtra, on Monday. The arrested individuals, identified as Balveer Singh Gurjar (33) and Raj Kumar Choudhary (33) from Rajasthan, along with Virender Sumar (59) from Delhi, under sections 392, 365, 506(ii), and 120-B IPC.

Acting swiftly upon the complaint filed by Hitesh Babulalji Jangid of Madel, Thivim, led to the timely apprehension of the suspects. However, the victim detailed a horrifying experience, recounting how he was abducted on Sunday, from Madel Thivim by three unknown assailants. He suffered physical assault with a blunt object, sustaining injuries, and was robbed of his belongings, including a Redmi 5G mobile phone, a gold finger ring, and a wallet containing Rs. 5,000 in cash. The perpetrators also issued threats to his life.

The investigation is under PSI Subhash Gaonkar of Colvale Police Station, under the supervision of PI Colvale, Vijay Rane, and overall guidance from SDPO Mapusa, Sandesh Chodankar, and SP (North) Akshat Kaushal, IPS.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
