Dabolim Airport is here to stay, South Goa hoteliers need not panic, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho said on Friday. The Navy has gone out of its way to accommodate more civilian flights and statistics show that the Dabolim airport has handled more flights than expected. The old terminal is being developed and will be ready by September and this sends a very strong message that Dabolim Airport will continue to serve the people in a better way. The Navy officials said that Dabolim has been upgraded to match Manohar International Airport Mopa.

“We are looking at every aspect of Dabolim Airport including parking, transport, enforcement against illegal taxis and touts so that people feel more comfortable travelling from Dabolim and Dabolim is here to stay,” Mauvin said.
