Goa's Electoral Office Leads 'Run for Vote' Rally and E-Rickshaw Convoy to Promote Voting Awareness

The Office of the Chief Electoral in Goa orchestrated a vibrant Run for Vote rally alongside an E-Rickshaw Convoy on Sunday at Panjim. The rally commenced from Miramar Circle and culminated at the Goa Science Centre in the city's heart. The primary aim of this spirited initiative was to ignite consciousness and drive a substantial turnout for the impending election day on May 7th.

The event reverberated with participation from a diverse spectrum including CEo officials, dedicated staff, individuals with disabilities, and esteemed election icons. CEO Ramesh Varma IAS, at the forefront of the occasion, underscored the pivotal significance of exercising one's voting rights on May 7th, aspiring to eclipse the previous remarkable turnout of 75 percent. He emphatically reiterated that each ballot holds immense power and implored citizens to actively engage in shaping the nation's destiny through their votes.

Joint CEO Triveni Velip echoed this sentiment, rallying citizens to step forward and embrace their democratic prerogative by casting their votes.

Taha Haziq, Secretary of the Commission for Persons with Disability in Goa and a distinguished State icon for Persons with Disability, radiated enthusiasm as he actively participated in the Run for Vote rally. He expressed contentment with the inclusive measures undertaken for the forthcoming voting process, urging all to leverage the available facilities and turn up in substantial numbers to cast their votes.

Highlighting the significance of accessibility, Sudesh N. Gaude, the Nodal officer for Accessible Election, shed light on using e-rickshaws to accommodate individuals bound to wheelchairs at the rally. He passionately urged voters with disabilities to step forward without hesitation and exercise their democratic rights.
