PANJIM: The heavy showers on Monday left not only the State inundated but also what is billed as Goa’s Taj Mahal. The Kala Academy, which has constantly been in the eye of the storm was yet again flooded on Monday.

Water was accumulated inside the Kala academy as water was seeping through the floor. There was extensive seepage in the control room. Workers were seen mopping up the water. Meanwhile the sound proof flooring done in control room, absorbed all the water.

When the media person began to film the workers mopping up the floor, they smartly put off the lights but before that the mopping up exercise was caught on camera.

When asked to comment about the leakage and flooding, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude brushed aside the query and snapped, saying there was no leakage.  He asked to be shown the footage. “What leakage? People put any video and you ask me to comment? Show me the video if you have,” he blurted.

When the Herald TV reported attempted to show him the video Gaude shot back, “How can you say it is Kala Academy? Media is doing too much. Every day you wake up and talk of Kala Academy. Is it their father’s Kala Academy? Next time dare not ask me about Kala Academy,” he warned.
