RAIA: The 14th Sita Pandhari Raikar Canacona Taluka Chess Tournament organised by Canacona Sports and Cultural Club and supported by Ratnakar Raikar will be held on June 30, at the Shradhanand Vidyalaya, Poinguinim. The tournament will be held in two age categories - U-15 (born on or after January 1, 2010 ) and above 15 years (born on or before December 31, 2009).
A chess player from Canacona taluka and who is studying in Canacona can participate. The tournament will be played in Swiss League System in which each player has to play seven rounds. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes and trophies in each age categories. Also age group category - two prizes for U-7, 9, 11 and 13 years in boys and girls section.
