CUNCOLIM: Chandor Sports Club shot-out Curtorim Gymkhana 6-4 (2-2) via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Yarri Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim School ground, on Sunday.
It was Marcus Fernandes who gave the lead for Curtorim Gymkhana in the 17th minute of the play.
Jovia Dias doubled it in the 32nd minute. Chandor SC increased the pace of the match in the second session and scored two more goals. Louis Noronha reduced the margin for Chandor in the 34th minute while Succour Fernandes equalised in the 52nd minute.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Cruz Gomes, Joaquim Carvalho, Moses D’Sa and Akram Yadwad found the mark for Chandor SC while Joyvin Carneiro and Wilson Fernandes were on target for Curtorim Gymkhana.
