RAIA: Chauna FC outplayed Nasty United 3-1 in the Ganesh festivity futsal tournament organised at Camp Souza Futsal Turf, Camorlim, recently.
Tyran Da Costa was the top scorer, while Jude Fernandes and Shawnel Fernandes adjudged as the best goal keeper and defender respectively. The player of the tournament award went to Erich Da Costa.
All together, 14 teams participated in the league-cum-knockout phase and showcased a competitive character with loads of zeal and determination to win the tournament.
Fr Rahul D’Souza, who co-ordinated the tournament along with the Class X students, emphasised that the events such as this carry out a lot of significance where the youth get a wonderful opportunity to blend and compete in the high octane manner yet gain and maintain a brotherly atmosphere.
