Goa bags 2 gold, 5 silver & 6 bronze at Yogasana C’ship

PANJIM: The Goa State yoga players (boys and girls) deputed by the Goa Yoga Association bagged two gold, five silver and six bronze at the 8th Jaipur League Yogasana/Artistic/Rhythmic/Sports Championship recognised by the Yoga Federation of India, at SMS indoor stadium Jaipur, recently.

Rajastan have performed well competing with the various States players and teams from across India players and won two gold, five silver, six bronze medals and a consolation prize (4th Place).

The following are the winners trained by the coaches Damodar Govenkar and Ashwini Churi. Artistic Pair (8 to 18 years girls) gold medal - Tusu Manna and Kathyayani Honawarkar, Artistic Solo (8 to 18 years boys) silver medal - Divij Bait, Artistic solo (8 to 18 years boys) bronze medal - Om Damodar Govenkar, Rhythmic pair (8 to 18 years boys) silver medal - Om Govenkar and Tejas Tandel, Artistic pair (8 to 18 years boys) silver medal - Divij Bait and Yashwant Madar, Artistic free flow (8 to 18 years boys & girls) bronze medal - Om Damodar Govenkar, Aaradhya Sunil Naik, Tusu Manna, Kathyayani Honawarkar, Priyanka Gorai, Kirthi itagi; Artistic solo (8 to 18 years girls) fourth place - Aaradhya Sunil Naik.

The winners were congratulated by Minister for Sports Govind Goude and Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, former GOA secretary Gurudatta Bhakta and Goa Yoga Association president, secretary and members.
