MAPUSA/RAIA: Holiday Sports Club Arpora had an easy outing as they drubbed seven-man Nerul SC by 5-0 margin in the GFA’s Division III League Bardez Zone match played, at Duler Stadium, here, on Tuesday.
The teams went into the breather with four goals lead. Saish Palekar opened up the floodlights with Zingran S Y, Mayopam Rumthad and Rishank Halarnkar adding their names to the scorer’s list.
On crossing ends, Rohit Shirodkar pumped in the fifth goal.
With the Nerul SC goalkeeper injured, the match was called off, in the 58th minute by Referee Milagres Fernandes due to just six players of Nerul SC on the field. Unbeaten Holiday Sports Club Arpora with 20 points qualified for the play-off.
Carmona SC downed Dando Boys Club, Benaulim, 2-0 to register a win in the GFA Division III Salcete Zone League match played at Dando ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday. Ronan Ferrao and Keith Junior Rodrigues netted a goal each for Carmona SC.
A match between Arlem Youth Association and Dramapur SC played at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, ended in a 1-1 draw. Cleo Simoes gave the lead to Dramapur SC, which was later cancelled by Milroy Dias of Arlem Youth Association.
At Siolim ground, Verem United walk past UC Nerul by 4-1 margin in the Bardez Zone match.
Raju Satyapogol, Prabhat Satardekar and Crag Menezes scored for the winners, while Gopal Shirodkar and Deep Govekar scored for UC Nerul.
