MAPUSA/RAIA: Peddem Bomm SC thrashed Assonora United 8-1 in the GFA Division III play-off Bardez Zone match to enter the semi-finals at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Thursday.
Peddem Bomm SC went into the breather with two goals cushion. Aryan Dharmendra and Umesh Mainkar found the net, 2-0.
On crossing over, Zaid Khan, Pedro Gonsalves (2), Aryan Dharmendra, Yash Morajkar and Raunak Shirodakar scored for the winners, while Pruthviraj Gosavi scored a consolation goal for Assonora United.
At Guirim ground, FC Sanquelim SC piped United Ucassaim SCC by a solitary goal win to enter the semi-finals. The all-important goal for the winners came in the 69th minute of play through the boots of Arun Paryekar.
Shiroda Youth Club trounced Navelim SC 12-1 at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, on Thursday.
Kevin Martin netted two goals and Jonathan D’Costa netted five, Daniel Cruz, Royston Vaz, Astral Dias, Kevin Dias and Jonas Antao scored a goal each for Shiroda Youth Club, while Domingo Cardozo netted a goal for Navelim SC.
At Rosary ground, Navelim, in the same group, Raitura Sports Club, Rachol, thrashed Dramapur Sports Club 9-1.
Glen Faleiro scored six goals, Seby Colaco netted a brace, while Alvito Pango and Sanjiro Pango scored a goal each for Raitura Sports Club and for Dramapur Sports Club Jonas Pereira netted a goal.
