RAIA: Fr Agnelo YSC, Paroda, outplayed Guardian Angel SC, Curchorem, 2-0 in the final to emerge champions in the 32nd Curtorim Gymkhana inter-village football tournament played at the St Alex Church ground, on Sunday.
Reagan Costa scored both the goals for Fr Agnelo YSC. Winners Fr Agnel YSC were awarded Rs 50,000 and a trophy, while runners-up Guardian Angel SC had to be content with Rs 40,000 and a trophy.
Curtorim MLA and GIDC Chairman Reginald Lourenco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Curtorim Sarpanch Alexinho D’Silva, Curtorim Zilla Panchayat member Michelle Rebello, other dignitaries and club officials.
