PANJIM: Sachi R Dessai will face Inara D’Souza, Ishita Colaso is set to compete against Aayushi Amonkar, and Neeza Kamat will meet Pradnya Caro in the finals of the 4th All-Goa Naguesh-Sushila Verenkar Memorial Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament for the U-11, U-13, and U-15 girls categories, respectively, at the Chandor Club in Chandor.
In the U-11 girls semi-finals, Sachi Dessai (1) defeated Sheniz Souza Xavier with a score of 3-0, while Inara Dsouza (2) triumphed over Tisha Shaikh in a, extremely tight contest, winning 3-2. In the quarterfinals, Sachi R Dessai beat Lyra Fernandes 3-0; Sheniz Souza Xavier beat Anannya Prabhudesai 3-0; Tisha Shaikh beat Anaya Shukla 3-0; Inara Dsouza beat Trisha Kamat 3-0
In the U-13 girls semi-finals, Ishita Colaso (1) won against Ruhi Nachinolcar with a clean 3-0 score, and Aayushi Amonkar overcame Sachi Dessai with a thrilling 3-1 victory. In the quarterfinals, Ishita Colaso beat Vaishnavi Singh 3-0; Ruhi Nachinolcar beat Samaira Verlekar 3-0; Aayushi Amonkar beat Kavyaa Khalap 3-1; Sachi Dessai beat Aarna Lotlikar 3-1
In the U-15 girls semi-finals, top seed Neeza Kamat defeated Ishita Colaso with a score of 3-0, and Pradnya Caro (2) beat Sanisha Sinha, also with a 3-0 score. In quarterfinals, Neeza Kamat beat Aarna Lotlikar 3-0, Ishita Colaso beat Shreya Phadte 3-0, Sanisha Sinha beat Samaira Verlekar 3-1, Pradnya Caro beat Priyasha Nadodkar 3-0
The tournament is organised by Chandor Club in collaboration with the Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA). The tournament was inaugurated by Satish Shinde, a former Goa State Table Tennis player, who was joined by Sudin Verenkar, GTTA President, and Santosh Verenkar, Tournament Director, among other dignitaries.
