RAIA: Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado, Cuncolim, defeated UC Seraulim 2-1 to book a place in the final of 13th Our Lady of Fatima Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Dicarpale SC, at Dicarpale ground.
Both teams played an attacking soccer from the start of play and had equal shares and opportunities to score but failed to break the deadlock till the half time and remained 0-0 at the breather.
All goals came in the second session as SCS Poitomado’s Vyane Pires scored in the 34th minute, while Ravesh Velip doubled the lead in the 46th minute and UC Seraulim reduced the margin through Oliver D’Souza in the 59th minute.
SCS Poitomado now will face Fr Agnel YSC, Paroda, in the final on October 13, on the occasion of feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
