RAIA: St Anthony’s SC, Colva, and Ave Maria AWC registered wins in the GFA U-13 Division II League matches, on Tuesday.
At SAG ground, Benaulim, St Anthony’s SC thrashed Navelim Villagers Union by 7-1 margin.
Verner Fernandes and Sameer Akhtar scored braces, Jaylan Silva and Sameer Bepari scored a goal each, while Caelan Fernandes of Navelim Villagers Union added an own goal to St Anthony’s SC tally. The only goal for Navelim Villagers Union was scored by Nathan Afonso.
In another match, Ave Maria AWC edged past Futebol Club YFA 3-1. Chandan Kharsel scored a hat-trick for Ave Maria, while Arnav Panchal was the scorer for Futebol Club.
Valpoi FC proved to be too good as they drubbed FC Mardol by 5-1 margin at Sinquerim ground.
The highlight of the match was a brilliant hat-trick by Gaurang Opkar, with Muhammad Beig and Bhavesh Gaonkar adding their names to the scorer’s list.Kaushik Mantnekar scored the consolation goal for FC Mardol.
