PANJIM: Wilson Cruz, Goa’s senior chess trainer and software engineer became the first person from Ponda Taluka to achieve Senior National Arbiter Title and FIDE National Arbiter Licence in Chess.
Earlier, Wilson was awarded with FIDE Instructor Title (Chess Trainer Certified By World Chess Federation), Arena International Master (AIM) Title and AICF, Chess in School, Trainer Title.
He is also the founder of Champion’s Chess Academy, Ponda Taluka Chess Association (PTCA) Vice-President, former joint treasurer of Goa Chess Association (GCA) and worked as professor in the college.
