30-hours Certificate Course “ETHICAL HACKING” By Dept. of BVoc(ST) . The Department of B.Voc. (Software Technologies) organized a 30-hour certificate course on “ETHICAL HACKING” from 27th September 2024 to 11th October 2024, aimed at equipping students with essential skills in cybersecurity. This initiative was designed to address the rising need for cybersecurity professionals capable of detecting and preventing cybercrime.

Mr. Imran Khadri, Ethical Hacker and CTO Avanteia Pvt. Ltd was the resource person.The course was coordinated by Ms. Surekha Patil, Assistant Professor in Computer Science. The course attracted a diverse group of students from various streams within the college, highlighting the widespread interest in cybersecurity. Mr. Imran Khadri, an industry expert, led the sessions, covering a range of tools crucial for ethical hacking. Key tools included: Camphish, Zphisher, Wireshark, ZAP, OSINT Framework, Metasploit, BurpSuite etc. These tools provided students with hands-on experience in identifying vulnerabilities and securing systems against potential threats.

The course concluded with a formal valedictory function on 11th October 2024, presided over by Dr.AshaGahloth, Vice Principal of Government College Khandola. Other attendees included Ms. Ana Gracy Fernandes, B.Voc. Coordinator, and Mr. Imran Khadri. During the event, Dr. Asha Gahloth commended the students for their enthusiastic participation and successful completion of the course. She acknowledged the efforts of Ms. Ana Gracy Fernandes, B.Voc. Coordinator for consistently organizing enriching activities within the department and praised Ms. Arishma Rane, Assistant Professor in Computer Science for coordinating the release of the department's monthly bulletin, TECHCONNECT.

This bulletin showcases technical articles, drawings, poems, and student achievements. Ms. Surekha Patil, in her vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principals, IQAD director and all others involved, and also Mr. Imran Khadri for his valuable insights and dedication to educating students in the field of ethical hacking.

The course not only equipped students with practical skills but also emphasized the importance of ethical considerations in cybersecurity. This initiative reinforces the Department of B.Voc. (Software Technologies)'s commitment to providing relevant and impactful education in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
