Echoes of Earth, India’s greenest festival, is being hosted in an expansive 100-acre stretch of lush landscape over three days and will feature over 40 international and local music acts performing on four specially designed stages, along with 20 art installations, educational workshops, cultural folk performances, and even a flea market featuring sustainable brands.

OVER 20 ART INSTALLATIONS BY ARTISTS ACROSS GENRES

For six years, Echoes has consistently brought together a multitude of artists, spanning across genres, who have transformed urban scrap and waste into unique and captivating art installations. The Goa edition will be showcasing a display of over 20 visually stunning art installations created by renowned artists. Attendees will get a chance to view pieces such as the ‘Yellow-Lipped Sea Krait’ by well-known herpetologist and artist Nirmal Kulkarni, ‘Praying Mantis’ and ‘Olive Ridley Turtles’, by artist Yadhunandan, ‘Purple Crab’ Mechanimal, and ‘The Indian Gaur’ by artist collective AltNative to name a few.

GOA BEYOND ITS BEACHES

Echoes of Earth, with its hyper-local theme ‘Ensemble of the Wild,’ will celebrate the Western Ghats and the local biodiversity of Goa. Through the convergence of art, culture, sustainability, and music, the festival aims to ignite positive change by shedding light on diverse ecosystems beyond the beaches. Fostering local community engagement, Echoes of Earth intends to promote a profound connection to the environment, advocating for sustainable green practices and responsible tourism. The three-day event will kick off with traditional Goan folk performances, Ghode Modni, and Ghumot, marking the beginning of a celebration that pays homage to the rich heritage of Goan culture.

CELEBRATING THE NATURAL WORLD IN THE MOST IMMERSIVE WAY

For a holistic experience, the thoughtfully curated Greener Side Zone will offer educational sessions, including workshops on butterflies, bugs, geckos, and mangroves. Participants can also engage in activities such as music workshops, face painting, and a guided festival walkthrough fostering planet conservation.

SAFE, INCLUSIVE AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY FESTIVAL

Echoes, designed as a ‘festival-for-all,’ is nestled in 100 acres of green landscapes of the scenic Braham Farms, Chopdem, adding to the experience. With a commitment to inclusivity, it welcomes people of all ages and even furry friends, creating a space where everyone can come together to celebrate responsibly and immerse themselves in experiential offerings of music, art, culture, and food.

STELLAR GLOBAL AND LOCAL MUSIC ACTS

Echoes has hosted over 400 international and Indian music artists over the last six editions. For it’s first-ever Goa edition, a curated mix of international artists, along with stellar local acts, will be taking center stage. The diverse lineup features dynamic music acts like Satori, Glassbeams, Oden & Fatzo, (((O))) of Sundrop Garden, Garden City Movement, Space Dimension Controller, Balkan Bump, and more on the international front. Adding to the mix are talented Indian and Goa-based artists like Leaxan Freitas, Merak, Elbows, Dualist Inquiry, Discokid, Vairaagi, and Shantam and Steffan. Grounded in the musical heritage of Goa, a significant number of these artists either originate from the region or have played a crucial part in shaping its dynamic music scene in recent years.

FOUR UNIQUELY CRAFTED LARGER-THAN-LIFE STAGES

The festival features four uniquely designed stages built sustainably using materials such as junk, scrap, bamboo, drainpipes, repurposed cloth, and metal, incorporating state-of-the-art technology to provide a visual treat for the audience. In this Goa Edition, ‘The Kraken’ and ‘The Big Beak’ pay homage to the Giant Pacific Octopus and Great Indian Hornbill, respectively, created by Siddhartha Kararwal. ‘The Ghost’ honors the Horned Ghost Crab, created by Muzamil Shairff. The Goa edition will also introduce the distinctive Jungle Bar stage, enhancing the immersive experience of the musical performances.

SUSTAINABILITY AT THE HEART OF IT ALL

Echoes of Earth is grounded in circular design, with festival assets crafted from old, discarded, and repurposed materials from prior editions, exemplifying a commitment to sustainability. As a no-plastic and no-flex festival, Echoes of Earth will feature hand-painted signage on repurposed cardboard and wood, bamboo structures for festival facilities, and biodegradable cutlery and crockery. No plastic bottles are allowed but plenty of RO stations to refill your reusable bottles. A robust waste management system adds another layer to the efforts, with the festival choosing to do away with waste bins in the food area in favor of food waste management kiosks that will promote waste segregation to all attendees

SUNDAY BRUNCH WITH ARTISTS

Each year, the festival brings their community of musicians and their ardent listeners under open skies for an intimate brunch fueled by a curated F&B menu and shared conversations. This year, a delightful Sunday brunch will be held on February 4 with top-notch cuisine, beverages, and the chance to mingle with the talented artists.
