The parishioners of Our Lady of Victory Church, Revora observed pin drop silence during the re-enactment of the Way of the Cross which shows the passion of Jesus Christ. Valenko Dias took on the role of Jesus Christ as they climbed up a hill in Revora along with the villagers who took on different roles of the people in the re-enactment. The Way of the Cross was led by Fr Brian Pinto, parish priest of Our Lady of Victory Church, Revora and Fr Nicolau Rodrigues.
Fr Brian explains, “This is the second year we have re-enacted the live Way of the Cross which was held at 7 am on Friday. We had more people participate in the re-enactment this year. The Way of the Cross is held in every church across the world with reflections and reading but the real effect shows when we enact the entire journey. Participating feel the pain when watching the suffering of Jesus Christ, God who became human being.
Fr Brian says, “The message through the Way of the Cross is to be as simple as possible to experience Jesus Christ.”
