All outdoor music will be stopped by 10pm: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant

Sawant says that only indoor music will be allowed

PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that all music in the coastal belt will be stopped by 10pm and only indoor music will be allowed.

Referring to the series of law and order incidents in the coastal belt, he said focus will be on crime control and 40% of the police staff of respective police stations will be deployed for night patrolling. We won’t tolerate such incidents, he said.

“All outdoor music will be stopped by 10pm. Only closed door music will be allowed. We have achieved about 95% efficiency in crime detection. Now we will focus on crime control. 40% of the police staff of the respective police stations will be deployed for crime control and patrolling,” Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Regarding tenant verification, Chief Minister said police will carry out random checks and owners who do not file tenant verification will be fined between Rs 1000 and Rs 10,000. They will also be made a party to the crime if their tenants are unregistered and commit crimes.
