Build strong MSME in the State: CM

PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant called upon the people to come together to build a strong future for the State in the MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises). 

Speaking at the occasion of World MSME Day celebrations at the Mantralaya, Porvorim, Sawant said that these initiatives were steps to take MSME in the State forward and if everyone works together, it would be possible to build a strong future for Goa in MSME. He emphasised the need to create green jobs and support an atmosphere where green initiatives can be adopted in the MSME sector. 

Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho pointed out that the MSME contributes to the State and country’s growth and helps generate employment and is a feeder to larger industries. 

Director of Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce, Egna Cleetus, IAS, gave a presentation on the RAMP scheme highlighting the key aspects of the scheme. The theme for the event was ‘Building A Stronger Future Together’. 

Earlier, the Chief Minister launched the RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance), a World Bank assisted Central Sector Scheme.
