Of late, we have been seeing some signboards in Margao, which leaves one puzzled. For instance, this one here says 'ONGC' and Ernakulam. How can a person new to the town make out where ONGC is, unless the sign mentions Betul. Also why put Ernakulam on a signboard in Margao town, when the former is located 732 kms away in the State of Kerala. In the age of Google maps and smartphones, it makes no sense to give such directions. It is more prudent to list major localities in the city /town/ State on the signboards.
