Stray cattle, bad roads a nuisance at Duler

Over the last few months, the condition of the roads in our locality has deteriorated and is going from bad to worse. The uneven surface not only causes inconvenience to daily commuters but also increases the risk of accidents. The roads become even more treacherous during the rainy season, making them unsafe for both pedestrians and motorists.

Adding to the problem of bad roads, the menace of stray cattle loitering in the areas during the day and squatting in the middle of the road at nights has become a serious concern. These animals not only obstruct traffic but also pose a danger to motorists, particularly two-wheeler riders at night. Often the animals too are knocked down by speeding vehicles. The authorities should expedite measures to repair the roads and impound the stray bovines and send them to cattle shelters in the best interest of man and animals.
