Conflicting Reports Emerge in Assault on Vets at Candolim Shack

 PANJIM: Three Vets from a clinic in Panjim claimed they were brutally assaulted outside a shack at Candolim, on the night intervening Saturday and Sunday. They claimed that while they were passing by a shack, lewd remarks were passed against a lady Vet, which led a male Vet to question the abusers, which led to the assault.

The three Vets Parvati Joshi, Rahul Choudhary and Narendra Singh Fenin from Panjim alleged that they got assaulted outside a Candolim shack by about 8 people.

The Shackowner, who is a woman, claims that all three Vets were drunk, fighting among themselves and abusing loudly. The shack owner Sonia said that they dint accept their help to go to a hospital, and did not accompany the police to the police station initially.

When asked about the abuse and the assault the Shack owner said she had only one employee in the shack and there were labourers doing construction work at the shack.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Pramod Sawant when asked to comment said assaults do happen. But the accused Jitendra Singh of Uttarakhand and Arun Kumar Vishvkarma from Allahabad have been arrested.
