Congress demands Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation on Adani
PANJIM: The Congress party has demanded that a Joint Parliamentary Committee be constituted to probe the Adani Bribery case after the Security Exchange Commission of the USA has issued an arrest warrant against Gautam Adani. The case pertains to Adani and 7 of his associates allegedly paying a bribe of Rs 16,000 crores to get contracts in 5 States. Solar contracts in Rajasthan and Maharashtra have also gone to Adani, GPCC President Amit Patkar said.
GPCC President Amit Patkar also said that Adani has been implicated for taking Rs 1470 crores from US citizens. The Indian agencies are not investigating Adani since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hand is over him. He has taken over airports, ports, media and cement industries through the influence of the Prime Minister, Patkar alleged. He also said the job scam in Goa is going nowhere.
