Congress objects to the appointment of Atmaram Barve as Information Commissioner

PANJIM:   Congress has objected the appointment of Atmaram Barve as State Information Commissioner, since Bharve is an active member of the BJP and has been serving as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Congress has demanded to withdraw the appointment immediately. They further urged CM to reconsider this appointment and choose a candidate who is independent, impartial, and has a proven track record of upholding transparency and accountability.
