Congress threatens to block highway, if dangerous Cortalim landslide is not cleared
Says the blocked lane is dangerous, as commuters take the opposite land which is no entry
CORTALIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar said hill cutting at Cortalim junction which led to landslide had no permissions from the Disaster Management Authority as confirmed by the deputy collector. This means that PWD is lying to the people, he alleged. He also demanded an inquiry against the Assistant Engineer involved. T

he landslide has resulted in the closure of the road leading to the Madkai ferry, and posed danger to vehicles. Patkar called on Chief Minister to take action within a day or Congress would block the highway.
