PANJIM: Goa registered eight new cases of Covid-19 infection on Sunday, taking the total number of active cases of the virus to 37.
According to a daily bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), eight positive cases were detected out of 177 samples that were tested in 24 hours on Sunday.
The State saw three recoveries on Sunday with the recovery rate of 98.46 per cent.
All the 37 persons who have been found to be positive for Covid-19 are under home isolation. There was no hospitalisation of the patients on Sunday. The pandemic which broke out in 2019 has claimed 4,014 lives in the State so far.
The State has reported 2,63,444 cases of Covid-19 so far out of which 2,59,393 persons have recovered.
