PANJIM: Activist Swapnesh Sherlekar has warned the people of Goa saying ‘Bhivpachi Garaz Aasa’. There is a lot of process that is waiting to be completed before the Bhutani project is completely ousted from Goa,” he said

Sounding a warning for the future, Sherlekar has called on the people to be alert as the fight is not over yet.

“If we let these politicians and brokers have their way, they are capable of throwing out Goans from Goa. Our politicians are completely conniving with the real estate lobby which makes it imperative for the people of Goa to be alert,” he added.

“It is the people’s power that has shown what it can do and it has not just sent a message to the real estate (mega project lobby) but also to the politicians and the brokers in the government who are inviting them that it will not be easy in the future,” Sherlekar said.

Sherlekar in a video flagged the varied reactions by people to the news of show cause notice being issued to Parmesh Constructions aka Bhutani Infra. “It is time to be alert. There are two types of reactions that are coming out. One is people questioning why show cause notices are issued instead of revoking permissions outright. Another set of reactions that is coming is of congratulatory messages that are being sent to each other. For both sets of reactions, I will say the fight is not over,” he said.
