Government’s tone on Bhutani has changed: Swapnesh
Welcomes show cause notice to Bhutani Infra, say process of natural justice has to be followed.
PANJIM: Activist Swapnesh Sherlekar has said that after the people’s protest, the government’s tone has changed. The CM has directed that all mega projects files be directed to him and within one hour of that the TCP Minister directed that the TCP issue directions to MPDA to issue show cause notice to Bhutani.
Swapnesh said there were two types of reactions to the action by the CM –why show-cause notice and why not cancel the permissions straight away. He said issuing of show cause notice was in the interest of natural justice and was good for the people’s cause.
The government has taken a beating on Bhutani project. As the people have raised their voice, the tone of the government has changed. This is good news. I'm happy with the developments. Some positives have come from the people's struggle.
