It is a shame that a sitting CM was booed by Goans: Activists

Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has said CM has become the CEO of Hill Cutting Builders Association

BAMBOLIM: Angry Activists and residents of Sancoale Sunday shouted slogan after Chief Minister Pramod Sawant refused to meet them, when he was attending the “Engineers Excellence Award” ceremony, at Cujira powered by the Bhutani company. Bhutani is responsible for massive hill cutting at Sancoale. Activists called out the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for turning a blind eye to the environmental destruction caused by the Bhutani company.

They said that the Bhutanis, Lodhas, DLF and other outside builders had become the new Portuguese conquerors of Goa.

Goans booed a sitting CM. Is there a greater shame than this? Are you working for Bhutani Infra? Dont you have time to meet people of Sancoale? He has spent hours attending the programme powered by Bhutani should we call him a chief minister? He has become a broker. He is not worthy to continue as CM. We will plan a protest that Goa has never seen.

Either we will survive and we will go to any level. We are even ready to face bullets, but we will not stop till we throw Bhutani out of Goa. CM should take Bhutani and go to Kolhapur. You do not deserve to stay here. It is a huge insult, the party which says nation first.... we all stood still when the National Anthem was playing, but CM left when the National Anthem was playing. What are you saying 'nation first' you dont respect the National Anthem.

Meanwhile, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has said CM has become the CEO of Hill Cutting Builders Association. He recalled how in the Goa Assembly the CM had assured to look into allegations of hill cutting by Bhutani. It is sad that he did not have time to meet the people of Sancoale, Vijai said.
