VASCO: In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old man from Madhya Pradesh met a watery grave off the Baina coast on Sunday morning.
The victim was identified as Vishal Nayak (23), a native of Madhya Pradesh and currently residing at Nerul. The tragedy occurred when He had gone to the beach along with a group of tourists. When the group returned to the boat after the water sports activities, workers on the boat found that Vishal was missing. When they started looking out for him, they found Vishal floating in the sea water.
He was immediately rescued, brought to the shore and then taken to
Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The body has been preserved and the post-mortem is likely to be conducted on Monday, police said.
A case has been registered and an investigation is being carried out by Harbour Coastal Police Station PI Pradeep Velip.
