Many parts of Goa faced flood like situation due to cloudburst

PANJIM: Many parts of Goa faced flood like situation on Tuesday due to torrential rain on Tuesday. Many streets of Panjim and major town were flooded. The heavy rains and floods caused massive traffic jams across the state.

Streets were overflowing with rain and sewage water due blocked drains. Commuters faced flooding at Panjim and Margao KTC bus stands. The Patto area in Panjim was completely inundated.

In Bambolim, the underpass was completely flooded. Similarly, the entire fish market in Pernem was flooded.

The meteorological department had issued a Red alert for Monday indicating a constant precipitation. The department has also issued an orange alert for Tuesday and a yellow alert from Wednesday till Friday. Commuters can gear up for another week of rain after a relatively dry spell for about two weeks.
