They are shocked by the sudden declaration that land acquisition has to be completed by September 20, 2024
LOUTOLIM: The Loutolim farmers are shocked that when all was peaceful and they had been given assurances by the Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari to consider their demands, suddenly the WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar has made an announcement regarding September 20 deadline for land acquisition. They said that their petition is pending in the National Green Tribunal.
We have made all efforts, the people are crying. We have prayed to all the Gods, they said. Even 30,000 square metre land acquisition will destroy the entire khazan, they said.
