Pooja Naik’s Cash for Govt Jobs scam, possibly the biggest job scam to hit Goa
PANJIM: In one of the biggest job scams to hit Goa, Pooja Naik cash for government jobs scam is like an erupting rash which is spreading like an epidemic. Innocent Goans are getting trapped, in these desperate times of inflation and biting unemployment. The scam has many tentacles with links to politicians with serious consequences.
This mega scam has taken a tragic turn even leading to suicide of Shridhar Satarkar a multitasking staffer, and a case of abetment to suicide being filed against Queen Pin Pooja Naik.
Meanwhile, other scams too have come to light such as Priya Yadav duping people to the tune of over Rs 1 crore in the Railway job scam.
The Pooja Naik cash for government jobs scam has spread far and wide. Ordinary Goans have taken loans and even pawned their gold with the hope of government jobs, are trapped in it, losing their hard earned money. Most Goans have demanded a CBI inquiry. Pooja Naik and the Priya Yadav railway job scam has similar modus operandi, that is preying on naïve Goans in desperate search of livelihood.
Meanwhile, Ponda JMFC court has remanded Deepashree Sawant Gawas accused on cash for jobs scam to 2 days police custody. She allegedly cheated Marcel residents with the promise of providing government job. Now more job scams are coming to light. In another case an FIR has been registered against Rameshwar Mandrekar of Sanquelim and Ravindra Bhandari of Pollem for allegedly duping Canacona youth of Rs 5 Lakh promising Job in the Goa Police Department.
There is also news of a Naval Officer's son has been duped of Rs 9 lakh and a complaint has been filed at Old Goa police station.
