PANJIM: Activist Anthony D’Silva has attributed the movie Sholay to the current situation of Goa wherein he states that Chief Minister and TCP minister Vishwajit Rane are the two Gabbars of Goa. This comes in response to the ongoing illegalities happening in the state with regards to land conversion and hill cutting.

Just like Gabbar men, people mostly outsiders come and illegally convert land in Goa and Goans have to go to the two Gabbars –TCP Minister and CM for justice, states D’Silva. He says that activist Swapnesh Sherlekar and Tahir Noronha are the real Veeru and Jay of Goa.
