Students and other interested parties will be able to take selfies with Road Safety Heroes at the directorate of education's Porvorim headquarters and the taluka-level offices of the Assistant District Educational Inspectors (ADEIs).

This is a part of the DoE's announced road safety programs and activities for the 13th State Road Safety Week in 2024, with the theme "Be a road safety hero!", to be observed between October 14 and October 20.
The education director, Shailesh Zingade, has released a circular informing the schools that they will be holding exhibit competitions, road safety pledges, road safety awareness campaigns, selfie stations, and visits from intelligent traffic management systems during the week.

According to the circular, schools should plan field trips to Altinho, Panjim's Intelligent Traffic Management System, which was established as part of the Smart City initiative, to demonstrate to students how the government manages traffic. Additionally, by October 9, all schools must have an exhibition focused on road safety. Additionally, schools are required to share four photos of their activities in landscape mode.
