PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant it is not important that 30 people from Karnataka met PRAWAH in Karnataka and there were only three from Goa. There were only three people from Maharashtra who met PRAWAH. Sawant was replying to media queries that only three people from Goa had gone with PRAWAH and 30 people from Karnataka had met PRAWAH.

“What is important is PRAWAH had to go to Kankumbi and see the diversion into the Malaprabah. I myself have seen the diversion,” he added.

Regarding Kannadigas stopping KTC buses and dancing on top of the buses, he said he had sought a report from the DGP and Chief Secretary and asked CS to interact with Karnataka CS. “ They did not damage our buses but stopping our buses and dancing on top is not proper,” he remarked.

“It was I as chief minister who had filed the appeal before the Supreme Court and then again, which led to formation of PRAWAH. Our team has collected lot of information. Without Goa’s and PRAWAH’s consent Karnataka cannot get approval (to divert the water),” Sawant said.
