PANJIM: Days after Herald TV highlighted the potholes at the exit point of the KTCL bus stand at Panjim the stretch was immediately repaired, much to commuters’ joy. But they were shocked after exactly a week. The poor quality of work ensured that the potholes are back on the exit road.

The PWD had repaired the road by putting a carpe on the road. Within a few showers, the road was back to its original condition. Daily commuters say this is an annual story during monsoon.

On 1st July, 2024, the Panjim bus stand exit road was repaired by the Public Works Department wherein the department had filled the potholes on the roads with hot mix. This was done to ease the traffic for the buses to exit and also for vehicular traffic movement. But within a week, the road went back to its original state after the state received a heavy downpour.

Every year during the rain, a sizable patch of potholes form next to the bus stand exit, giving passengers an extremely bumpy ride.
