RAIA: Canacona Sports & Cultural Club defeated Navelim Sporting Club, 1-1 (5-3), via the tie-breaker to enter the finals of Marcus Mascarenhas (Mark) Memorial Trophy tournament, organised by Sarzora Sports Club, played at Chinchinim Church ground, on Wednesday.
Ronaldo Pereira scored the first goal for Navelim Sporting Club in the 13th minute. In the second half Shayne Alfonso equalised for Canacona Sports & Cultural Club. The winner was decided from spot kicks wherein Canacona Sports & Cultural Club won 5-3 to reach the finals.
Earl Fernandes (GK) was awarded man-of-the-match from Wilfred Pereira, (senior journalist).
