MAPUSA: Undefeated FC Goa lads played their hearts out as they drubbed Dempo Juniors 5-2 in GFA’s Boys Under-15 First Division League at Ella ground, Old Goa, on Monday. The teams were locked 1-1 at half time.

Leonard Rebello put FC Goa ahead while Jodrick equalized for Dempo in the first half.

On crossing over, FC Goa pumped in four more goals through Leswin, Sangam (2) and Sweden. Tejas netted the second goal for Dempo.

Sesa FA finished as runner-up. They defeated Salgaocar Football Club, 3-2, in a closely contested match at the Sinquetim ground, Navelim.

Sunil Hansda's goal, which gave Sesa FA the lead in the fifth minute, gave them a great start. The situation, however, quickly deteriorated when Salgaocar’s Clevic Fernandes scored an own goal in the 27th minute to give Sesa a 2-0 advantage.

Granville Fernandes' own goal for Sesa in the 32nd minute put a twist in the story as Salgaocar pulled a goal back. Both teams made a strong effort to win in the second half, with Sesa looking for a third goal to secure the victory and Salgaocar seeking to draw even.

Salgaocar captain scored an important goal in the 85th minute to make the score 2-2.

Ferren Gonsalves' 87th-minute goal, however, gave Sesa the advantage and gave them the hard-fought victory.
