AHMEDABAD: Goa dominated on Day 2 of their Ranji Trophy Plate League match at the Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Motera, declaring their first innings at an imposing 555/9. By the close of play, Mizoram found themselves on the back foot, trailing by 433 runs with just four wickets in hand.

Mizoram's batting lineup was put to the test as they limped to 122/6 by the end of the day's play. Jehu Anderson, unbeaten on 45, was the lone bright spot for the team, but with little support from the other batsmen, Mizoram are struggling to make an impact.

Earlier, Goa's massive total was powered by a career-defining knock from Snehal Kauthankar, whose stunning 250 off 342 balls anchored the innings. On the bowling front, Goa’s attack was relentless. Darshan Misal claimed three wickets, while Mohit Redkar (2) and Arjun Tendulkar (1) also kept the pressure on.

Mizoram’s batting woes were glaring as they lost wickets at regular intervals. The team's top order crumbled, with Lalhriatrenga (16), Marty Lalrinhlua (10), Agni Chopra (1) and Joseph Lalthankhuma (3) failing to make a significant impact. Mohit Jangra (25) and Vikash Kumar (19) were the only other contributors, leaving Mizoram with a tough task ahead.
