PANJIM: In an inspiring display of endurance and dedication, Goa Police showcased their commitment to fitness and wellness at the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa held at Miramar, recently.
Making history, Akshat Kaushal, District Superintendent, became the first officer in his role to complete this iconic race. Alongside him, five dedicated teams from Goa Police competed in the Servicemen category, including members of the elite Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) commandos.
The event also saw the enthusiastic participation of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Omvir Singh, IPS, who joined the relay event for the third consecutive year, partnering with SP Crime Branch Rahul Gupta, IPS, and Assistant Superintendent of Police Akshat Ayush, IPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Canacona. Their participation stands as a powerful testament to Goa Police’s dedication to health, resilience, and the strength of community.
The Servicemen category at IRONMAN 70.3 Goa brought together teams from across India’s armed and government services, including the Indian Navy and Army, celebrating the unity, athleticism, and strength that define these professions.
The event reflects the relentless spirit and commitment of India’s servicemen to both physical and mental endurance, proving them leaders not just in duty, but in life.
Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Kumar, IPS, whose health-centered vision has fostered a wellness culture within the department, commended the officers for their dedication.
