Police interrogate PFI members

PANJIM: The Goa Police on Thursday interrogated four members of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) in view of the intelligence input that there was likelihood of PFI members or its associates indulging themselves in the acts to disturb the peace and tranquility in the State during the ongoing exposition of sacred relics of St Francis Xavier.

All four namely Yasin Nalur, Mohammed Haveri and Imran Illyas, all from Davorlim and Shaikh Rauf of Cuncolim were produced before the Magistrate at Margao with chapter proceedings to bound them over for their good behaviour.

Also Altaf Sandi of Curti-Ponda associated with organisation viz Goa Youth Foundation, was interrogated by the police in view of the similar intelligence input. He was produced before the Magistrate at Ponda.
