PY Nuvem blank Ambelim SC, move into quarters

CURTORIM: Parish Youth Nuvem blanked Ambelim SC 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Curtorim Panchayat Cup organised by Maina Sports Club, at Curtorim ground, on Monday.

Nuvem scored the first goal through Cedar Colaco off a header in 15th minute.

Ambelim could have equalised in the 20th minute but Samson missed an easy chance.

 Five minutes later, Nuvem doubled the account in the 25th minute through Flatorn Quadors off a neat placement shot giving no chance to Ambelim keeper Benny Silva. 

In second half, Ambelim missed two chances as their strikers Leslie Fernandes and Sanyo Fernandes failed to score. 

Nuvem netted their third goal through Rahul Pereira just few minutes before the final whistle. 

PY Nuvem will now meet the winners of Rossman Cruz Verna and Gloria SC, Raia on Febraury 26 in the quarter-finals.
