RAIA: Parish Youth Nuvem secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Betalbatim Sports Club to enter the semi-finals of 23rd edition of Bro Eulalio Vas memorial football tournament organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, at their ground on Monday.
PY Nuvem drew the first blood in the 15th minute through the boots of Drawin Colaco with a neat placement, while Betalbatim SC missed an opportunity to level terms in the 25th minute when Mhosin Shayed’s shot sail over the crossbar.
Changing over, PY Nuvem further inflated the lead through Meislein Barreto by beating the defence and goalkeeper and placing the ball in the open net in the 45th minute.
Later on, Betalbatim SC pulled one goal back when Mhosin Shayed powerful shoot from the edge of the box crush into the net.
Parish Youth Nuvem meet Raia Sporting Club in the semi-final on November 11. Drawin Colaco was awarded the man-of-the-match by Vincent Fernandes, member of DBO.
